10CT Elongated Cushion Moissanite Ring

Why We Made an Elongated Cushion Engagement Ring That Doesn’t Look Like Everyone Else’s

We Were Tired of the Same Old Cushion Cut

We make jewelry. And every time we browse the engagement ring market, we see the same thing: round brilliant after round brilliant, maybe a standard cushion cut if you’re lucky. Classic? Sure. But forgettable.

We wanted to make an elongated cushion engagement ring that actually stands out — something with presence, with a shape that flatters the finger instead of just sitting on it.

So we built this piece. A 10CT elongated cushion moissanite, set in a warm gold-tone band with small accent stones on the shoulders. It’s not for everyone. But if you’re looking for an elongated cushion engagement ring that feels intentional instead of accidental, this might be the one.

The Design: Why We Chose Elongated Cushion Instead of Round

Let’s talk about what you’re actually looking at.

The center is a 10CT elongated cushion-cut moissanite — a shape that combines the soft, rounded corners of a traditional cushion with a longer, more rectangular silhouette. This does two things:

First, it makes the stone look larger on the hand than a round cut of the same carat weight, because the elongated shape spreads across more of the finger. Second, it elongates the finger itself — the vertical orientation draws the eye up and down, creating a slimming effect that round cuts simply can’t match.

The stone is held in a four-prong setting with a delicate milgrain bezel around the edge. This does two things: it protects the stone from daily bumps, and it adds a vintage-inspired detail that makes the ring feel more crafted than a standard prong setting.

The band is gold-tone plated over S925 sterling silver, with small accent stones set into the shoulders. Not a full pavé band — just enough to catch light without competing with the center stone.

We Started With a Real Stone, Not a Cheap Imitation

When you shop for an elongated cushion engagement ring, the stone is where most brands cut corners. Glass. Synthetic spinel. Coated cubic zirconia. They photograph well and cost almost nothing — and they look flat the moment you see them in person.

We chose high-grade moissanite.

The Color: Moissanite has a natural fire and brilliance that outperforms diamond in some lighting conditions. It throws rainbow flashes that are subtle but noticeable — not the flat, colorless look of cheap CZ.

The Cut: We use an elongated cushion cut because it throws light across more of the stone’s surface than a round cut of the same carat weight. The elongated shape also creates a “hall of mirrors” effect that makes the stone look deeper and more complex.

The Clarity: We grade our moissanite at VVS clarity, which means inclusions are not visible to the naked eye. Under a loupe, you might see something. On your hand, you won’t.

We don’t hide what these are. They’re moissanite, not diamond. But a well-cut moissanite in a good setting will outshine a low-grade diamond every time — at a fraction of the cost.

The Details, Because You Deserve to Know Exactly What You’re Getting

Main Stone: High-Grade Moissanite, Elongated Cushion Cut (10CT equivalent)

Clarity: VVS

Metal: S925 Sterling Silver

Finish: Gold-tone plated

Setting: Four-prong with milgrain bezel, accent stones on shoulders

Sizing: Available in standard US sizes

Weight: Lightweight, comfortable for all-day wear

One note we always give our customers: because moissanite is a grown stone, the depth of color varies slightly from piece to piece. That’s not a flaw in manufacturing — it’s the signature of a real stone.

How We’d Style It

A few pairings we love, from our own team:

Everyday: A white tee and denim. The gold tone and large stone add a quiet pop of luxury without being loud.

Evening: A little black dress. The elongated cushion catches light from every angle — and the gold band warms up the whole look.

Stacked: Worn next to a thin gold band or a plain silver ring. The contrast in tone makes both pieces look more intentional.

Who This Elongated Cushion Engagement Ring Is For

We’ll be honest about who should skip it: if you want a traditional round solitaire, this isn’t it. It’s bold, it’s large, and it’s not trying to blend in.

But if you:

Want an elongated cushion engagement ring that feels intentional instead of accidental;

Love the look of a large stone but don’t want to pay diamond prices;

Want something that looks like fine jewelry without the fine jewelry price;

Are tired of rings that turn green or black after a few months;

Then this was made for you. We’re confident this ring will still look good in three to five years, when the cheap ring you almost bought would be in a drawer, tarnished and unwearable.
